I believe in giving back. If you can do so financially, then great. But that doesn't exclude you from participating in your local community and truly giving back.
Volunteer. Help others. Whether it's at your local school (Junior Achievement, Young Ameritowne, etc. are great programs eager for volunteers), your local YMCA, the nearest homeless shelter, a retirement home..... there are so many ways you can take a few hours a month and make a genuine difference in other people's lives. Which, in turn, collectively helps the whole community.
Take the initiative. Ask "what can I do to help?" Then, do it. Follow through.
An old saying, "The world is round" is so true. You will feel incredible for your efforts and you'll be rewarded in ways you never imagined.
